1. Did you ever have an experience where you were very much set on doing something, and
then somebody said something to you, and you drastically changed your mind and did what
they told you to do? (Most of us have had experiences like that with our mothers when we
were small!)

2. What made you obey?

3. How about now? How do you react when a person tries to use a threat to make you do
something or not do something?

4. How is it different when God guides you, even to the point at times of being a threat. (Hint:
Think of “who,” “why,” and “how” in relation to this question.) What is different about
Jesus in particular?

5. How might “judicial hardening” as a response to people rejecting God make sense,
considering how God is different from us? How might those differences affect how you
respond, compared to questions 2 and 3?

C'YA @ USC!

Last night was our kick off meeting for our new C'YA on Campus ministry. We had a good turnout as people came from all over: South Bay, Irvine, UCLA, West Covina, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, etc.   We had a chance to worship, discuss about our current concerns, and pray for one another. We topped off the night eating with the King...Taco.

Also look forward to next months meeting, where we'll C'YA @ UCLA!

Vision for C'YA on Campus:
- To build deeper relationships with and among our college students.
- To bridge the relationship gap between College and Young Adults
- To minimize the potential of College students disconnecting from the local church post-graduation.
- To Glorify God with the growth of His church through intentional Christian fellowship.

CONGRATS Trevor and Tomoko McKee!

Congratulations to our Japanese Missionary and brother, Trevor Mckee! He and Tomoko tied the knot this past Saturday, September 25th.  It was a BEAUTIFUL ceremony and reception where Christ was clearly seen.

As Trevor and Tomoko are safely back in Japan now, please pray for the following:


1. "We have our wedding reception here tomorrow.  It's going to be pretty big with an involved program. Pray that the Lord can be glorified as he was at our wedding in LA!" 

2.  "Tomoko's grandma down south (her mom's mom) has only a few hours to live... please pray most of all that the Lord can make his glory known to the family members."
